FerroČrtalič is a small sized company and it is specialised in the search of solutions in sandblasting and painting. Company's primary goal is to help partners all over the world to solve problems regarding surface treatment and to improve the growth of their companies.

Company’s opinion about environmental protection is clear: Environmental protection is an important part in company’s development. On the short term positive effects on the company cannot be seen, but company’s perspective is on long term and they are seeing some competitive benefits of acting ecologically. They are also stressing their ecological responsibility to its costumers but not on very big scale because costumers might get scared because the ecologically awareness is not so extended.

Environmental standards are in company’s eyes seen as very positive thing. Very interesting is the fact why they are not gaining standard ISO14001; they are so far above this standard criterion that they don’t see any benefits gaining it, since there are no financial or any other effects of having this standard. They are seeing environmental standards as important tool for saving the nature because these standards are reminding companies on their environmental responsibility.

First level of acting eco can be seen on waste separating. This separation is very précised as they separate every type of waste: paper, plastic, metal and they have their own agreement with waste companies when to submit waste.
On level of product their greatest novelties are blasting cabinets that are completely harmless to environment. These systems are totally closed so all needed blasting materials (sand, air) are purified and reused over and over again.
Company is always looking for new and environmental friendly materials for blasting. They were among the first companies using soda for blasting which makes blasting environmental harmless. Even bigger step in eco direction was made when they started to use dry ice (even more ecologically friendly material). Developing environmental friendly blasting cabinets and using new materials also results in some material’s savings.

It is important fact that company has been acting ecologically since the very first start and this eco-innovative development goes side by side with rest of development in company so the obstacles are only on financial side. Reasons company is still acting so ecologically friendly are because of their own satisfaction and because of hope that in the future their eco-innovations will be much more appreciated and will be financially supported.

They have budget for R&D sector which is separated from the rest of the budget. R&D sector takes 10 – 15 % in the overall budget. Since they are so eco-innovative active it can be said that huge part of finance for R&D is set also for eco-innovations.
