Malaga County Council is a local public administration made up of democratically elected representatives from all the municipalities within the Province of Málaga. Its main objective is to work together with these local authorities (especially those with fewer than 20.000 inhabitants) to improve their social and economic development.
Therefore, Malaga County Council works in different areas such as culture, education, training, tourism, environment, new technologies, social affairs, employment, energy, etc.
The European Resources Department of Malaga County Council was set up in 1998. Its main competences are the design and implementation of projects supported by European funds.
Over the past years the European Resources Department has been involved in a very heterogeneous range of projects and has worked together with other Malaga County Council departments as well as local authorities, social agents, NGOs and Regional Development Agencies within the province.
